Restoring the Town
Every shop in the order the tech tree unlocks it, what it costs and what it unlocks, and the house repairs.
The reclaimed districts of the Town are full of ruined shops and houses. The Market Stalls and Artisans technologies unlock the shops, which are built on the empty plots; each one brings a trader with its own stock and Town orders. Better kits upgrade a shop to Tier II and III and grow its trader. Repaired houses reward Green Scrolls, which Linda at the Dockside Club turns into citizen reputation and a higher Likes limit.

The Town has 7 Merchant Stalls plots for its 8 market-stall shops, and 4 Workshop Courtyards for the 4 artisan shops. Every shop can be built only once, and the Patron of merchants achievement asks for 11 shops.

1. Market Stalls I: given by the quest Safe Harbor
2. Artisans I: 75 red and 25 green tech points
3. Artisans II: 100 red and 75 green tech points
4. Market Stalls II: 130 red and 30 green tech points
5. Market Stalls III: 150 red and 50 green tech points
Growing a shop to Tier II and III
Upgrades need no technology, only their materials. Each tier raises village reputation, gives its trader more goods, more money a day and a higher weekly Likes cap, and adds harder Town orders that pay more Likes.

Town questions
Where are shops built?
On an empty plot sign in the reclaimed Town. Market-stall shops (Apothecary, Vegetable Stand, Tailor, Furniture Maker, Baker, Fish Stand, Alchemist, Jeweler) go on Merchant Stalls plots; the artisans (Builder, Smithy, Tavern, Brewery) need a Workshop Courtyard.
What does a restored shop give?
Village reputation, a trader with its own stock, Town orders for supply boxes, and progress toward the Shop Owner inspiration and the Patron of merchants achievement.
What are Green Scrolls for?
Repaired houses reward Green Scrolls. Linda at the Dockside Club takes them on Lust day, raising citizen reputation and the maximum Likes.
What does the Builder perk do for Town buildings?
With Builder, finishing a first-tier shop or a house has a chance to hand back some of the kits it cost. Each building page lists what can come back.
