Money and trading: coins, traders, orders and happiness
How the coins add up, how much a trader can pay, and what resets on Pride.
Graveyard Keeper 2 counts money in bronze, silver and gold coins: 100 bronze make a silver and 100 silver make a gold. A new game starts with 1 silver. Money comes from burial certificates, selling to traders, sermons and town orders.

Town orders can only be accepted on Pride, and completing them rewards happiness and coins. The weekly cap on the happiness each trader gives for special goods also resets every Pride.
Prices, purses and restocks
- Prices move
- The more of an item a merchant holds, the lower its price.
- Special goods
- Every merchant has its own goods to buy and sell, some of them special to that merchant.
- Restocks
- Merchant stocks refresh over time. Upgrading a merchant expands its inventory.
- The happiness bar
- Selling items marked with the happiness label fills a progress bar at that trader; each time it reaches 100% the Keeper gains happiness. Each trader only takes a limited number of each item a week.
Every trader also has a purse. It starts at a fixed amount and grows each day by the trader's daily income, which rises with the trader's tier. A trader cannot pay more than its purse holds.

The Town's other currency
Happiness comes from Town Gratitude, trading special items and completing town orders; town orders are its main source. Restored shops unlock new merchants and town orders and raise village reputation. A sermon spends happiness: the number of parishioners who come is the lower of happiness and church quality.
The most happiness each Town shop gives for special goods per week, by tier. It resets every Pride.
