(Old) Clovis’s Diary (7 pages)
Page 1 I’m just a florist—why do I have to research life? But Floret is my best friend... I can sense how much it cares. The Life Force Seed is important to it. ———— I noticed that Irises can help plants near them grow better. Maybe it’s something worth learning from? Page 2 I woke up to find that I was surrounded by Irises. All six different forms, all there. Floret and a couple of Irises rushed me into today’s research. ———— Oops, I forgot to cook for Clovis Junior. Hope he didn’t starve. ———— What do you know? He learned to cook himself. And he even cooked something for me. Page 5 All forms of Irises can help other plants grow, but there are some differences among them. The power of Irises from the Sea of Flowers is gentle and soft. The power of Irises from the Russet Highlands is intense and enthusiastic. The power of Irises from the Forest of Falling Stars is quiet and subtle. The power of Irises from Nimbus Fields is bright and lively. The power of Irises from Berylline Vale is elegant and dreamy. The power of Irises from Driftwise Meadow is airy and graceful. ... I wonder what created such differences. Page 11 Differences in day and night, as well as terrain, can make the elemental energy in different areas vary subtly, resulting in the different forms of Irises. But I suspect that there is a deeper reason for this. ———— I was too immersed in my studies and forgot to spend some time with Clovis Junior. Hope he wasn’t mad at me. I have got to take a day off and spend some time with him tomorrow. Page 12 Just as I stepped outside, I ran into Floret, who was looking for me. Well, so much for my plan to take little Clovis out. ———— The research has lasted two years. Finally, with Floret’s help, I extracted the power of six different Irises and infused it into a single seed. For some reason, I always feel this seed has... the scent of the earth? Floret thanked me and took the Life Force Seed away. Yes, I named this seed the Life Force Seed, though it may not be all that powerful. Page 13 Flowery came back to me a few days later. It had gotten bigger somehow... It didn’t evolve; it just had more life force in it, I guess. It was supposed to be a good thing, but Flowery was a little upset. ———— It pointed to the Idol pillar in the square. I was surprised. Was the research for Aeolus or Lady Irelia? But there was nothing else I could have done. In spite of my stronger sense for life and the so-called life florist reputation, I am nothing but a florist. The only thing left to do is to spend more time with Clovis Junior. Page 16 Clovis Junior has not grown up yet, but I’m getting old. The truth that he is an independent boy makes me proud. It also makes me feel guilty. I ignored him when he needed me the most. ———— I can feel my life gradually flowing away. I don’t think I’ll be around for too long. I hope Clovis Junior won’t be too upset. If almighty Aeolus or Lady Irelia can hear my prayer, please send a friend to Clovis Junior when I’m gone. I just can’t leave knowing that Clovis Junior would be left alone in this world.
A Letter
My great-grandfather was a musician. In the era when the world lost its color, he inspired people with music. But music that heals the soul cannot defeat hunger. He collapsed. He only came around after a perfumer fed him sweet nectar. Later, unable to refuse her request, he inherited her legacy and became a perfumer himself. He felt trapped in a place without wind. ... Long after, he decided he had had enough and ran all the way to a cliff. Back then, Argent Strait was still colorless, untouched by the Guardian’s grace like Bloomville. Crescendo Cliff was ravaged by endless gales, and was known as the "Deadland of a Thousand Winds." Yet in this deadland, my great-grandfather met some Chirpis singing in the wind. So they sang loudly together... Even the wind couldn’t take their souls. They were free. They sang of freedom. ... Years later, the Guardian returned green to the land, and Argent Strait revived. On Crescendo Cliff, my great-grandfather twined with a Chirpi, flying and singing in the fresh wind. This song gave birth to the Bell of Freedom. It brought freedom, and a great wind leading to distant places. ... My great-grandfather passed the perfumer’s legacy to my grandmother. He was truly free. They say he rode the great wind to where he wanted to go. I envy him. ... If only Flutternyms could fly across the sea. My partner and I have always thought so. If only there was a great wind leading far away. I think, riding that wind, we could find freedom. ... Now, the wind is here.
Bolty Call Log (5 pages)
Calling Bolty: Hello? Hello? Answering Bolty: Hello... Calling Bolty: Where were you just now? And why do you look so drained? Answering Bolty: I was talking to the "Hair Dryer"... It just wouldn’t shut up. Calling Bolty: ...I know the feeling. Calling Bolty: Impressive, though... keeping it up for that long. Answering Bolty: Well, the "Hair Dryer" always responds pretty loudly. I mean, it’s kinda nice. Calling Bolty: You’re not... Answering Bolty: Tomorrow... Calling Bolty: You’re hopeless. Calling Bolty: Hello? Can you hear me? Answering Bolty: Yep. Calling Bolty: Hello? Can you hear me? Answering Bolty: Yep. Calling Bolty: Hey... Answering Bolty: Wait. We’re standing right in front of each other. Why can’t we just talk? Calling Bolty: It’s tradition! Communication through electric currents—straight to the heart—that’s just how we roll! Answering Bolty: Sure, straight to the heart... but it blocks the eyes sometimes. Calling Bolty: Were you thinking something mean about me just now? Answering Bolty: And the ears too, it seems... Calling Bolty: Wait... Why are we even calling each other out here in the middle of the night? Answering Bolty: What, you’d rather queue up under the Blitz Tree in the daytime? Calling Bolty: No, I mean, why don’t we go to the Blitz Tree right now? Answering Bolty: You’ve gotta understand that some of us don’t enjoy being overheard during a call... Calling Bolty: By some of us you mean? Answering Bolty: I mean—the kind that can zap your fur until it’s standing on end. Calling Bolty: Hey, why do you think Boss Blazen guards the Blitz Tree without making a single call? Answering Bolty: Boss Blazen does make calls, but only at night. Calling Bolty: Why’s that? Answering Bolty: Maybe it’s worried someone might be listening in. Calling Bolty: Sariou, you like Sweetwood Fruits that split into three too, right? I thought I was the only one in all of Blitzwood who liked them! Calling Bolty: If only you could come to Blitzwood! I really, really wanna share the ones I found yesterday with you! Blitz Tree: You’re... my best... friend. Calling Bolty: Huh? Why’d you say that all of a sudden? Calling Bolty: But you’re right! We’ve never even met, and I don’t know if I’ll ever make it to where you are... but you’re totally my best friend! Calling Bolty: All the other Bolties think I’m weird. You’re the only one who wants to be my friend. Blitz Tree: You’re... the best... You’re... you. Calling Bolty: Sariou, you really sound like an old geezer right now! Haha!
Bonesky Species Research Report (3 pages)
In order to research those big-eared Boneskies, I have decided to visit Beast Fang Ridge. In spite of what they call me, I don’t believe that I’ll be unlucky forever! ———— My attempt to observe them from behind was a big failure. A couple of Boneskies attacked me and just wouldn’t give up till I ran into Emberpup territory. However, that gave me an idea. Maybe in addition to their constant caution, Boneskies also have much better hearing than other Aniimo. I’m going to give it another try. ———— 29 attempts, all successful. I have a feeling that one more try will jinx it, but I just can’t stand stopping before a nice round number! Come on, Sayn, do it again! Okay, I lost the last report again. But it’s fine, I have a new finding this time! I believe that my luck has begun to turn! If it weren’t for those who chased me into such a remote corner, I wouldn’t have stumbled onto this gossip. No, matters of Aniimology can’t be called gossip. This is intelligence! ———— It turns out that the Bonesky and Emberpup families have been fighting each other for control of Beast Fang Ridge. However, it’s not all hostile between them—some Boneskies and Emberpups are secretly friends. It’s worth noting that Boneskies and Emberpups once coexisted peacefully and had a simple partnership— Boneskies would create ice pillars, while Emberpups would melt them with fire to get fresh water in the caverns. What’s more, stronger Emberpups would thaw the surface of the underground river with fire, whereas stronger Boneskies would absorb the biting cold air in the cave to prevent the Emberpups coming to fetch water from getting frostbite. This partnership, however, has long become a thing of the past. Just as I expected, I lost another report. I accidentally ran into a Fenrier while it was challenging a powerful opponent, so I had to run. But it’s fine, I have more new findings this time! ———— Almost all Fenriers wish to be more powerful, so they keep challenging each other and get hurt a lot. Fenriers can strengthen their willpower through constant fighting and finally find an opportunity to evolve into a Glynsera. I helped a Fenrier treat its wound and it gave me some new information. It turns out that within the Bonesky family, the most powerful Glynsera gets to earn the name Recas. It sounds more like a title than a name to me. ———— This research trip went really well! It took me some effort but I finally got to twine with a young Bonesky and learned about the legend of Recas from an elder of the family. I must write it down! ...Oops, the note is full.
Century-Old Promise (4 pages)
Tucker, who liked to bury himself in a corner and sing, and Ron, the boy who longed for the stars and distant places... two lonely souls, meeting, were no longer alone. Helgon Cave Mural
Helgon, Rookey, and Infergon are sitting in a circle chatting. Nearby, a Helmut and a Jawling are lying on the ground asleep, while another Jawling has its teeth sunk into a Helmut’s helmet... There is also a recorder using ancient script. Perhaps long, long ago, the Helmut and Jawling families shared a friendly and harmonious bond.
Mural of the Birth of Infergon
Long ago, the mountains of the Russet Highlands surged and boiled, and the earth trembled violently. The Aniimo clans that lived here faced catastrophe. Then a Helmwhelp rushed to the summit and, enduring the searing agony that engulfed its body, swallowed a Flame Flower that bloomed brightly amid the raging inferno. The mountains returned to peace, but the Helmwhelp’s body was scorched blood-red. From then on, it could breathe roaring flames, transforming into the legendary Infergon.
Old Truffle Hunter’s Notes (4 pages)
Page 1 Fog’s thick out here. Only way forward is striking those glimmer fruits for a bit of guidance. Good thing I’ve got some experience—I avoided the Tucking’s hiding place. Massive thing. Bigger temper. Doesn’t appreciate visitors. Last time I drifted too close... almost got bundled up in vines. No thanks. I’ll be keeping my distance. Page 26 Truffles are getting harder to come by. Maybe someone else is out here muscling in on my patch? Not good. Gotta figure something out. ... Weird. The buyer’s paying more, but supply doesn’t seem any better. Did the Aniimo in the Mistwoods suddenly get hungrier or something? ... Great. Stepped on a Hummin—sent me flying. Thought that was bad enough. It wasn’t. Landed straight onto five or six more. Spent the next few minutes getting bounced around like a ragdoll. All I could hear was that awful chorus, one after another— like they were mocking me. Honestly? Haven’t been this annoyed in ages. But when I finally hit the ground.. yeah, that felt good. Turns out happiness really is relative. Page 30 The buyer’s paying well, so... I pushed my luck. ... I like adventure—but I prefer being alive. Where the heck did I wander into? This place feels off. Everything’s warped somehow. ... I blacked out. Woke up with all my limbs, though—so that’s something. What was that thing I saw? Some kind of screaming ghost? ... Guess everything has its nemesis. Watching those Hexxins doubled over, hands over their ears... yeah, I won’t lie, I enjoyed that. Payback for pretending to be that awful screeching ghost to mess with me. ... But honestly, the Tucking and its Hummin buddies? Their singing is bad. And they do it as a duet. Twice the pain. ... Still, they look like they’re having a great time. Fine by me. I’ll just stay out of their way. Page 39 Not many truffles this time—but the buyer didn't complain. Says he's leaving the Mistwoods soon. Going farther out. Before he left, he offered me a song. A thank-you. Turns out he's not just a truffle buyer. Or a perfumer. He's a singer, too. ... Didn't make it to the end of the song. No regrets. Now I get it—why he and the Tucking's Hummin all wear those Glimmer Fruit Garlands. Even without twining, I'd recognize that voice anywhere. ... I'll leave this place someday. That much feels certain. But maybe... someone after me will find their way back here. —— <完>——
Perfumer’s Memoirs (3 pages)
<Twenty> I spent my twentieth birthday with Tucker. It was a rare sunny day in the Mistwoods, and we met up at our old spot. Tucker always liked burying himself there, and no one but me could ever call him out. We had agreed long in advance that we’d celebrate together today. Everyone in the Mistwoods, feel the power of our “Magic Sound Duet”! ... The Witchins who had gathered for a music party all covered their ears and ran off. Our magic sound is more powerful than theirs, hands down! ... Even the Pomeggs, who love a good bit of noise, ran off. ... Looking around, there wasn’t a single Hummin left. ... Sure enough, we made everyone in the Mistwoods hear our singing! Although no one could tell we were singing the “Birthday Song.” ... I never used to like singing the birthday song, nor celebrating birthdays. Because I’ve been off-key since I was little, and everyone always laughed at me. But singing together with Tucker, even if the whole Mistwoods can’t stand it, I’m happy. I’m starting to look forward to my next birthday. The next birthday, and the one after, and the one after that... I want to spend them all with Tucker! Thirty After my birthday, Tucker and I lay on the grass. I was happy, not just because Tucker shared its favorite truffles, but because I had good news. I heard from a caravan about a legendary perfumer who makes sound perfumes. My dream of creating a “Beautiful Voice Perfume” might finally come true. I told Tucker. Tucker was happy too. But when Tucker learned I had to leave for a while, he seemed upset. ... Tucker buried itself and wouldn’t come out. I said no more. I just stayed by his side, singing my off-key songs. ... We fell asleep under the stars. Before I even left, we were already dreaming of our reunion. <Age Fifty> I returned to the Mistwoods, but our "old spot" was gone. Tucker was gone too. ... Everything had lost its color. Even the once-noisy, off-key Hummins seemed to have vanished. ... I stood at the entrance to the maze ruins, almost wishing a crowd of Witchins would make my head spin with their dreadful singing. But all that remained was silence and desolation. ... Twenty years ago, I couldn’t wait to say goodbye to my friends and set off for distant lands. I wanted to escape the shame of my terrible singing. I dreamed of having a beautiful voice of my own. And now, as I look at this bottle of "Beautiful Voice Perfume," I miss those days of being surrounded by awful singing more than ever. ... I lie here, unwilling to leave. Everything I remember is gone. Only this place, no longer quite our old spot, is still here waiting for me... No. Tucker is still out there too. He must be waiting for me somewhere.
Princess Melloblum and the Seven Budsquires (5 pages)
Chapter 1: Princess Not long ago, the writer and nature lover Armand left Bloomville and ventured deep into the Beardow Woods. There, he discovered the gentle yet powerful Princess Melloblum, and her six Budsquires. Imagine his surprise at this discovery, because this area of the forest was known to be home to the ill-tempered Cubbo Family, who did not get along well with others, and tended to force their neighbors off their land. Upon further observation, Armand noticed a flower seedling growing on the land where Princess Melloblum and her Budsquires lived. It emitted a faint fragrance, reminiscent of snow, with a lingering scent of joy. Armand noted that the Cubbo Family seemed reluctant to approach the seedling. "Lucky," Armand thought, "that nature favors the beautiful." ... Later, Armand realized that he, too, was blessed by fortune. Because Budsquires happened to be the only family he could twine with. After twining with them, he became the seventh Budsquire, devoted to Princess Melloblum. ... From that day on, the tale of "Princess Melloblum and the Seven Budsquires" began to spread through Beardow Woods. And Armand enjoyed an idyllic time living in the forest. Chapter 2: Whiterose Tower Soon after, Armand returned to Bloomville to tell his tale of discovery in Beardow Woods. All who heard his tale were excited about the miraculous seedling. Especially the perfumers, who wanted to ride the long winds of Aeolus directly to the Beardow Woods and see the miraculous seedling for themselves. ... The perfumers, fragrant, singing, arrived at the Beardow Woods in high spirits. They built a towering perfume workshop near the miraculous seedling, and fragrance wafted from the tower. With the perfumers’ care and nurturing, the miraculous seedling grew amazingly well. Incredibly, contact with the miraculous seedling’s vines allowed a Budsquire to learn the power of [Thorn]. The Thornblade swore fealty to Princess Melloblum. A beautiful sentiment and a pure bond were formed. ... Soon, Princess Melloblum had seven powerful Thornblades in her service. Yes, not six, but seven Thornblades. These powerful Aniimo could even fight off the fearsome Grizbo, and became renowned thenceforth in the Budsquire Family as the Seven Lethal Thorns. Chapter 3: The Tea Party Perhaps she was influenced by Bloomville’s tea culture, but Princess Melloblum eventually developed a taste for floral tea. In fact, as more and more Budsquires flocked to her, Princess Melloblum even began hosting tea parties. The writer, Armand, with his excellent storytelling skills, became a regular guest at these parties. He also became a link between the Budsquire family and Bloomville’s residents. ... Bloomville’s perfumers were still working hard to cultivate the miraculous seedlings. Although they had not yet found success, they had managed to develop a new species of flower, Cubbo’s rose. The perfumers tasked Armand with delivering some Cubbo’s rose seeds to Princess Melloblum. ... As the Seven Lethal Thorns dashed through Beardow Woods, Cubbo’s rose seeds were scattered throughout the forest. Winter passed and spring arrived, and large patches of white blossoms carpeted the forest floor. They helped the Cubbos drift to sleep. Gradually, the once dangerous Beardow Woods became safe for the Budsquires as white blossoms covered the wilderness. Chapter 4: Dance of Blissful Bloom It was an ordinary spring day when the perfumers of the Florifragrant school guided the miraculous seedling’s vines in a spiral up the white tower. Bloomville supported the Budsquire family, and the Budsquires protected the people of Bloomville. Watching all of this, Armand realized that he had found the true meaning of happiness. ... These joyful events awakened Princess Melloblum’s long-dormant power. Among the floating petals and permeating fragrance, she danced a powerful, yet gentle dance. The dance bathed all the onlookers in happiness, and they all wished to be together forever. ... It was during this dance that the miraculous seedling finally blossomed. Perhaps the whitesnow rose is the most beautiful and potent flower in this world? All the onlookers cheered, and from that day on, Beardow Woods received a new name and became Rosetower Woods. Only, the whitesnow rose withered at the height of its beauty. Chapter 5: Flowers and Thorns The earth trembled, and flowers withered. With the loss of the whitesnow rose and Cubbo’s roses, the forest descended into chaos and violence. All the Cubbos and Grizbos woke up. They roared and rampaged through the forest. Peace was no more. ... The Bloomville villagers fled from Rosetower Woods. They brought some Budsquire refugees with them. To ensure the survival of Budsquires in the world, Princess Melloblum entrusted the care of the Budsquires to Bloomville. ... Armand did not retreat with the Bloomville villagers. He was the First Lethal Thorn of the Seven Lethal Thorns! How could he abandon Princess Melloblum? But he could only watch, helpless, as his companions fell one by one in the onslaught. He hated how powerless he was. It was then that Princess Melloblum said to him, "Armand, rest now, you’ve done well." He watched as Princess Melloblum performed that familiar Dance of Blissful Bloom. The dance gave the Budsquires enough strength to retreat into the Maze of Thorns. After entrusting her daughter, the little princess, to Armand, Princess Melloblum fell at last. ———— The whitesnow rose which had bloomed in Armand’s heart, withered.
Research Notes on Bulbly’s Electric Current Language
Amazing! I think there are patterns in how Bulblies’ electric currents flicker. Maybe they communicate with each other with electric currents! There are two types of electric current signals, I’ll write the longer ones as "━", and shorter ones as ".": ①━ I ②. You ③━ ━ . Tell ④━. Lore ⑤━.. Hear ⑥.━ Hydrate ... Do Bulblies think through electric currents? Or do electric currents display what they think? No wonder some students used to report that it was still hard to communicate with Bulblies after twining. This is big! Let me take a closer look... I hope they don’t notice me.
Research on Bittersweet Blooms
I got blown off the snowy mountain by a gale and landed right on a bouncy Tuftball. They don’t call me "Sayn the Lucky Aniimo Researcher" for nothing. ———— This must be Driftwise Meadow. I’ve been here before. But things seem different. Especially that flower. It used to be bluer. Now it’s turned golden. There are way more Fentufts than before, almost surrounding the flower. Is that why it changed? I need to take a closer look. ———— Sob... I accidentally touched the melancholic mist. I feel sad like never before. But I made a new discovery. I’ve decided to name that flower. Hmm... let’s call it bittersweet bloom. It’s quite fitting, because...
Sayn’s Message
My dear book buddy Clovis, as an Aniimo researcher myself, I feel obliged to remind you that keeping a Budclaw is not an easy thing to do... Actually, it’s not easy to keep any Aniimo. First of all, there’s something you need to know about Budclaws. 1. Heartblooms Heartblooms, the small buds on top of each Budclaw’s head, are parasitic entities present from birth. They provide nutrients for their host through photosynthesis. That’s why Budclaws are diurnal and enjoy sunbathing so much—it keeps them healthy. 2. Lifetime Partners Budclaws are highly faithful Aniimo—they have only one partner for life. The heartblooms on their heads (those small buds) reflect how close they are to their mates. That means if you ever find a flower on your Budclaw buddy’s head, congratulations! You’ll soon have a couple of Budclaws and probably many baby Budclaws in the future. Also, if a Budclaw has a flower on its head, other would-be mates will instinctively keep their distance. Second, you must interact with your Budclaw buddy in the correct way. - You should never maltreat it (which I believe you’d never do). - Make sure you’re there for it and comfort it when it feels down (they are usually not that hard to cheer up). - If a Budclaw ever buries itself deep into the soil, that’s a serious sign—it could be depressed, and you must intervene immediately. I’m leaving Bloomville to go to the Sea of Flowers mudflats. I was told that there are magical Bulblies there. I really enjoyed my time at your home, and will remember the stories of heroes we shared so fondly. I only chose to leave at night to ease the weight of our farewell. But we’ll see each other again. Aniimo Researcher Sayn, a friend you spent three days with
Strange Findings on Trombers
Huh? There really is a Tromber here that shows up on sunny days! If I hadn’t been checking MiMo so often, I might’ve missed it. Many Aniimo researchers know that Trombers are called "Singers in the Rain" because they usually only appear by the sea on rainy days. But this one is special. It’s out in the sun. There must be an interesting story here! I need to investigate. ———— I knew Trombers loved gossip, but this one is on another level. Does it go against its nature to stay and sing on sunny days, just to watch the Nimbis’ romantic drama? Oh, not just watch, but sing loudly about it. This Tromber sings so elegantly, but the tone is full of... mockery? ———— Uh oh, my Hummin just started singing along! We’re busted! That Tromber is flying over...
Tracks of the Berylline Vale
Long ago, Baleetles scoured the land for quality stone balls to bring back to Berylline Vale. One Baleetle found a perfect stone, but failed to push it over the mountain and bring it back. Every time it neared the peak, the ball rolled back down, dragging the Baleetle with it. Over time, this created a strange, straight path up the mountain. One day, the earth shook, the mountain crumbled, and a stone wall marked with the words "mountain path" fell onto Berylline Vale, which was the only proof of this event. Later, other Baleetles saw this "mountain path" and used it as a natural racetrack. Years later, the rock turned pure cyan, nurturing a stoneflower within—a symbol of life blooming in the wrong place.
Treasures of the Sea and Where to Find Them (9 pages)
Page 1 The first day at sea - I’m so excited! Legendary treasures, here I come!!! ———— After five days of effort, I finally wore down an old sailor and discovered some information about the treasures. A long time ago, the earth was shattered, and many treasures sank into the sea. That is what made us, the seafaring Pathfinders (we’re really marine treasure hunters), come into being! I have always been a lucky man, and I’m sure I’ll make a fortune again this time! Page 2 We salvaged tons of garbage. What a productive day contributing to marine protection :) But Hayes doesn’t give up so easily! ———— We found an uninhabited island and buried the garbage. The ship really was fully loaded. Page 9 This is the third expedition at sea of the great seafaring Pathfinder, Hayes! ———— I made the old sailor drunk, as usual, and discovered a piece of strange information. The Sea of Flowers Mudflat used to be a small port with a shipping route to Apeiro. But the route somehow disappeared, and the port was abandoned as well. Then another earthquake came, the port sank into the sea, and the place became a mudflat. I heard that Pathfinders from Apeiro used to land on the Sea of Flowers to unload cargo and replenish supplies. I never had the chance to witness that. ———— We sailed into a storm, but made it out! Like I said, lucky! Page 13 The fleet was caught in an unusual fog. The anchor is broken too. And of course, it is now nighttime. We’re probably done for. Have I run out of luck? ———— I’ve got to throw some books into the sea. Sorry for making more sea trash. But I can’t afford to have those books found next to my body. Page 14 Lighthouse! A lighthouse! ———— We finally made it ashore! Lady Luck hasn’t given up on me! I’ve got to give this lighthouse a giant hug! (I threw those books away for nothing... my out-of-print treasures!) Page 15 Turns out the miraculous lighthouse was a Bulbly! It was even more magical than a real lighthouse! A Bulbly that likes to sit next to the sea in a trance! Almighty Aeolus, I swear that it’ll be the one and only lighthouse in my heart. Page 23 Another successful trip. I came to the Sea of Flowers Mudflat again and hugged my Magical Lighthouse. My lighthouse was excited. But I got a little numb from it. ———— It sure knows how to say goodbye! Those glittering electric currents were amazing! See you next time! Wait for me! (I probably didn’t need to say that out loud, right?) Page 33 I was there again. Impressive! I can always recognize my magical lighthouse in an instant. I would never mistake my lighthouse for anything else. ———— I called it "Lighthouse, my magical lighthouse," and hugged it again. I could tell from its shimmering bulb that it liked the nickname very much. I ended up numb again. Page 99 Recording the last voyage of Hayes, the seafaring Pathfinder. ...This will very likely be my last voyage. I can feel that the ship is sinking fast. No more books to throw into the sea this time since I’m too old for that. :) The only regret I have is that I never learned how to generate electricity, so my lighthouse never understood a word I said. After so many years, you just stand there, looking at the sea. Do you simply love the sea too much, or are you waiting for me to come back? I guess I’ll never know the answer... but I think I have the answer myself. Sorry, my magical lighthouse; the place I’m going this time is too far away. I hope you find your own faraway place to go. Don’t wait for me too long.
Whitesnow Rose Research Notes (6 pages)
Research Day 1 Notes by: Perfumer Ampah - Flower School Mood: Excited Activities: Initial observation, fragrance collection. Results: The miraculous seedling emits a consistent, strong fragrance, reminiscent of snow. There is also a hint of sweetness to the scent. Note: There are sharp thorns covering the vines of the flower, proceed with caution. ———— Research Day 21 Notes by: Perfumer Kelan - Mixture School Mood: Calm Activities: Mixing the miraculous seedling’s scent with other fragrances. Results: The fragrance is active and easily disperses. More stabilizers are required. Notes: Armand stole my herbal tea, and I lost two hours of research time today. Research Day 43 Notes by: Perfumer Ampah · Florifragrant School Mood: Depressed Activities: Modifying temperature, soil conditions, etc. To help the miraculous seedling grow. Results: Some changes noted, but after growing two times its original size, growth has halted. Note: I’m out of ideas and I need rest. ---- Research Day 50 Notes by: Perfumer Ampah · Florifragrant School Mood: Pleased Activities: We’ve discovered that telling stories to the miraculous seedling encourages growth. Results: The miraculous seedling seems to grow faster when it listens to happy stories. Notes: A couple from Azureville arrived unexpectedly and were attracted by our perfume techniques. They have decided to remain for now. I have high hopes for Joss in particular, but he seems more interested in the Blended Fragrance School. I’m going to see if I can convince Marissa. Research Day 99 Notes by: Perfumer Ampah · Florifragrant School Mood: Neutral Activities: Experimenting with allowing the miraculous seedling to grow freely. Results: The miraculous seedling, surrounded by a pleasant atmosphere, is growing steadily. Note: When a Budsquire was pierced by a thorn growing on the miraculous seedling’s vines, it seems to have understood something new, and evolved into a Thornblade. ---- Research Day 106 Notes by: Perfumer Kelan · Blended Fragrance School Mood: Neutral Activities: Mixing the miraculous seedling’s fragrance with more types of fragrance. Results: Next time, I need to make sure poison prevention measures are in place. Notes: A baby girl was born to Marissa and Joss. Marissa named her Lisa. Joss’s Bubbeep has taken quite a liking to the little one; it often travels all the way from the ponds in Bloomville just to stay close to her. Research Day 117 Notes by: Perfumer Ampah · Florifragrant School Mood: Extremely pleased Activities: Cultivating seeds from the miraculous seedlings Results: Failed to cultivate seeds Note: Although my attempt to cultivate seeds failed, I managed to create Cubbo’s Rose. Perhaps the Budsquire will no longer need fear harassment by the Cubbo Family. ---- Research Day 180 Notes by: Perfumer Cecilia · Honeyed Fragrance School Mood: Hopeful Activities: None Results: None Notes: The fields of Cubbo’s Roses covering the forest have attracted many Dewies. I’m sure I’ll be useful soon! Research Day 566 Notes by: Perfumer Joss · Florifragrant School Mood: Happy Activities: Assisting in the cultivation of Whitesnow Roses Results: Common techniques have failed, but Melloblum’s dance made the Whitesnow Rose bloom. Note: The miraculous seedling has a new name: Whitesnow Rose. ---- Research Day 910 Notes by: Perfumer Marissa · Florifragrant School Mood: Complicated Activities: Developing a legendary perfume from the byproducts of the Whitesnow Rose. Results: After countless attempts and failures, we’ve developed a recipe that has a high probability of success. Notes: Joss and I are starting to miss home. After we finish this perfume, I’d like to go back to Azureville. Disaster strikes. The Whitesnow Rose has withered. Joss and I haven’t been able to develop the legendary perfume. We might never return to Azureville. We have a name for the perfume we never managed to create. It’s called, "Home."

Ancient Idyll (3 pages)
The once-glorious Ancient Idyll Civilization now lies in ruins. Venture deep into Sanctum ruins scattered across the land to uncover the secrets of Mechina. What forgotten stories lie sealed behind this lost history? A wondrous technology invented by the Ancient Idyllians under the guidance of the Prime Aeons. At its core are magical devices capable of channeling Vein energy. It is said that the original purpose of this technology was to repair damaged Veins. The Sanctum ruins scattered across Idyll were built by the Ancient Idyllians to repair damaged Veins. Descend into the depths of a Sanctum and activate long-dormant Mechina to restore the flow of Vein energy.
Aniimo
Aniimo is the collective name for the wondrous creatures living across Idyll. They come in a rich variety of forms and habits. Aniimo not only wield Elemental Energy but can also evolve to change their appearance and enhance their abilities.
Aniipod
The Aniipod, developed by Polaris Institute, is a device capable of catching, equipping, and training Aniimo. Its interior uses spatial folding technology to provide a comfortable resting space for Aniimo.
Astra (3 pages)
The predecessor of Astra was a doomsday shelter carrying the seeds of Earth’s civilization. After a long journey, it discovered Idyll. Humans built the city of Astra floating above Idyll into a vibrant metropolis and began exploring the continent. With the discovery of Crystal energy and Ancient Civilization ruins on Idyll, researchers developed Lumintech, powered by Crystals. This efficient and clean new energy technology completely solved Astra’s energy problems. Aniimo help Astraeans explore Idyll, and young people long to have their own Aniimo companions. Many Aniimo have moved into Astra alongside their human guardians. In newly built districts, facilities and products serving Aniimo can be seen everywhere.
Bloom
Blooms form at the intersecting nodes of the Vein network. Through Blooms, one can teleport quickly between Vein nodes. Many Idyllian settlements are built around Blooms.
Branch (2 pages)
Where the Veins converge, Branches form. The Idyllians believe that the Aeons deliver vitality to the land through the Veins, and so they treat Branches with reverence. By touching a Branch with sincerity, one can listen to the heartbeat of the earth and feel the Aeons’ blessing. Touching a Branch and receiving the Veins’ acceptance and protection helps Pathfinders move through Idyll. When Vein energy is strong, not only does it invigorate the body, but Aniimo living nearby will also gather and become active, triggering a Wild Surge.
Evolve
Evolution is an important transformation on an Aniimo’s growth journey. It not only enhances their abilities but also changes their appearance. Some Aniimo, influenced by different factors during growth, can even branch into different individuals.
Form
The same species of Aniimo may evolve into different Forms in different regions, weather, times of day, or other special environments in order to survive. There is also a rare Form that only appears in a Prismana environment.
Idyll (3 pages)
Bidding farewell to their lost Earth homeland, humanity discovered a brand-new world: the beautiful and vibrant continent of Idyll. Its scenery is picturesque, its life diverse, and wondrous creatures called Aniimo can be found in every corner. Legend holds that nine Aeons together created Idyll, each guarding a different domain. Under their guidance, Idyllians and Aniimo live together in harmony. Unlike Astra’s trendy bustle, this land retains its untouched natural character. Simple-hearted Idyllians live peacefully here, adapting to the land, building settlements, and developing their industries with the help of Aniimo.
Lumin Amber
Long ago, Idyll underwent a violent vibration, and Vein energy scattered. Over the ages, this drifting energy condensed into radiant Lumin Amber and scattered across the land. Returning Lumin Amber to a Branch helps nurture the Veins.
Omni-glove
A Lumintech device provided by Polaris Institute for its members. This smart information device integrates multiple applications. It also features twining enhancement, skill casting, energy transmission, and more.
Outpost
The outpost prepared by Polaris Institute for the Expedition provides Pathfinders exploring Idyll with services such as level assessments, Research Console reports, rest and healing, resource supply, and convenient teleportation.
Pathfinder
Since the Ancient Idyll era, the few who could twine with Aniimo have been called Pathfinders. Polaris Institute enhances the stability of twining through training and technological devices, though the underlying reasons for twining remain to be studied.
Polaris Institute (4 pages)
An educational and research institution founded by renowned scholar and explorer Oswen, dedicated to Aniimo research and Idyll expeditions. Students and Aniimo study and train together under the Institute’s guidance, living and growing side by side. Aniimology is dedicated to documenting Aniimo ecosystems, analyzing Aniimo biological profiles, building the Aniilog, sharing Aniimo knowledge with the public, and developing Aniimo facilities to help create an environment where humans and Aniimo can coexist harmoniously. The Pathfinding Dept. conducts scientific research and field expeditions. Its members venture deep into uncharted natural landscapes, investigate mysterious ancient ruins, uncover the secrets of Idyll, and drive the Expedition ever onward toward the next coordinates. The Battle Art Dept. was established to strengthen physical training and prepare for crises in the wild. Using Holo-simulation technology, it focuses on improving human-Aniimo combat coordination and cultivating exceptional battle skills.
Prismana Flow
When enough Lumin Amber has merged with a Branch, the surging Veins once again pour abundant vitality into the earth. The overflowing energy rises into the sky and forms the brilliant Prismana Flow, drawing out the rare Prismana Form Aniimo.
Twine
A mysterious bond exists between humans and Aniimo, allowing hearts to connect and senses to be shared. Pathfinders can observe and perceive the world through their Aniimo’s perspective.
Vein
Beneath Idyll lies an intricate network of Veins, like the pulse of the natural world itself. The Veins ceaselessly send the energy needed for all life to grow to the surface. Places rich in Vein energy are always brimming with life.
Zephyr Coast (2 pages)
The domain ruled by the Aeon Aeolus, where sea breezes carry the fragrance of Duskwhisper, ocean waves play the melody of the tide’s song, and dazzling gems are born from the dance of earth flames. It is a fertile land of green fields, sea isles, and warm earth. The green plains beloved by the wind, where silver sands stitch together blue seas and green hills. Low-drifting clouds wander over the soft grasslands, and beneath the snowy foothills a sea of flowers paints the land with romantic color. A small perfumery village lies nestled within.
Zephyr Coast Settlement
Known as "the place where flowers bloom in abundance," this village is famed for its flowers and perfumes. Once every decade, a grand celebration called the "Bloom Festival" is held here, during which the residents present their handmade perfumes and await the Guardians’ blessing.

![]() | Birth of Infergon | Long ago, the mountains of the Russet Highlands surged and boiled, and the earth trembled violently. |
