Overview

How it plays

A dancing cactus that enemies cannot resist following. Decoyo lures nearby enemies toward it before detonating - simple in concept, surprisingly effective in practice when you need the room to breathe or a group of enemies cleared from an objective.

Strategy

Drop it behind an enemy group to pull their attention away from you or a teammate. The lure effect is most useful in chaotic encounters where redirecting even a few enemies creates a meaningful window. Combine with Contagion or Surcharge at the Decoyo position for bonus burst on the gathered targets.

Strengths

  • Redirects enemy attention without requiring your own positioning
  • Detonation hits all lured enemies at once
  • Useful as a flanking distraction in co-op

Weaknesses

  • Long cooldown for what is essentially a single diversion
  • Enemies that have already committed to an attack may not respond to the lure
